Prapso?

Boomer

This is my sweet Boomer. I can't tell if he is a prapso shih tzu or not. He was born to a full blooded mom and registered dad. His siblings were both normal shih tzu. He is a mess, very playful and hardheaded. The other pic is his best friend Sassy, a normal shih tzu.

Hi, Janice Here from Miracle Shih Tzu,

It definitely looks like from the photograph that Boomer may be a Prapso or a partial prapso. He appears to have a beautiful brindle colored coat, a white tuxedo marking on his chest and a black mask. These are all characteristics of the Shih Tzu breed.

The only thing missing is the long coat and whiskers/beard that non-prapso dogs have.

"Hardheaded" pretty much describes most Shih Tzu dogs. They definitely have that attitude, "Whats in it for me?" I think you can definitely say your little Boomer is Prapso.

I'm a lifelong learner, a dog lover, and passionate about the welfare of animals. Though Shih Tzu is my favorite breed, I've also lived with Poodles, Maltese, Yorkshire Terriers, Beagles, English Bulldogs, Carin Terriers, and a Cocker Spaniel. Little critters that shared my space included guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, hamsters, mice, tropical fish, and birds. (Oh, and one crayfish and hermit crab that my daughter brought home from school)
